BIO

In 2017, Navarr Gonzales first began designing for the marginalized consumer, subsequently, creating FLAMER. FLAMER established a fashion brand that allows individuals to represent their unique identities. In a highly saturated market fashion still creates unspoken boundaries that limits conversations and ideologies that represent different forms of fashion. Gonzales chooses to share raw narratives of queer culture and promote fashion through a lens that is not always scene. With roots in south Texas, Gonzales uses textures and materials that reflect his life in Texas and the subculture that he has created.

"Fashion should be a form of escapism, not a form of imprisonment." - Alexander Lee McQueen
